Old Town General Family Canoes

Charles River

A modern canoe with the iconic visual lines of an old classic. Shallow arch bottom provides good overall stability. Tumblehome well above the waterline allows smaller paddlers to reach the water without having to compromise stability by leaning over.
"It is extremely graceful in appearance and very steady, combining beauty in outline with speed and ease of paddling." That's how Old Town's 1903 catalog described our then-new Charles River canoe, and we believe those words ring just as true today. The Charles River combines yesterday's classic design, flared with tumblehome cross-section, and contemporary materials to provide performance with greater durability and less weight, giving intermediate to advanced paddlers a canoe that matches the 'ideal canoe' picture in their minds with performance they've dreamed of.

Camper

We've taken our hugely popular 16 foot camper and shortened it to be better suited for smaller paddlers. The Camper 15 is a highly responsive boat that's lightweight, easy to maneuver and built with added depth for an extra margin of security. This canoe is lightweight and versatile enough to explore backwaters and take a solo daytrip on local streams.
